Ampthill Round Table celebrates 55 years of serving the community in style this Friday at Ampthill’s Parkside Hall. 130 people will see snooker player John Virgo give an after dinner speech on his career on the green baize together with stories of his time on Jim Davidson’s “Big Break” television show. He will be followed by Adger Brown, one of the most versatile comedians on the circuit, who is both a Barker with the Variety Club of Great Britain and a proud member of the Grand Order of Water Rats. Up for grabs on the night are prizes including Carling Cup Final tickets and a brand new 22” digital TV just in time for the digital changeover in March.
